Bankruptcy / Mass Resignations (November 2024)

On 5 November 2024, Michel Dadoun resigned from at least seven companies simultaneously: MNY Developments Ltd, R.G.J. Ltd, Mainbird Investments Limited, MNY Services Ltd, MNY Management Ltd, East West Developments Ltd, and Buckingham Investments Residential Ltd. He had also resigned from United Properties London Ltd on the same date. This pattern of mass simultaneous resignations is consistent with a bankruptcy order. Caseboard lists a bankruptcy case for Michel Dadoun with case number BR-2024-000088, filed 5 February 2024. Under UK law, an undischarged bankrupt is disqualified from acting as a company director without leave of the court.

Following the mass resignations, control of Michel Dadoun’s companies was transferred in two waves:

  • 5 November 2024: Isaac Salem (born December 1957, British) was appointed director at Mainbird Investments, Spartacus Developments, and Speedy Management Services.
  • 10 January 2025: Isaac Salem was appointed director at MNY Property Management, Platinum (Cornwall Road), BWC Windows, Imperial House London, Platinum Riverside, and MNY Developments.
  • 29 October 2025: Gabriel Shimeon Dadoun (born January 2001, British) was appointed director of United Properties London Ltd and became PSC with 75%+ ownership.

Before Gabriel’s appointment, Rabbi Moshe Dadoun (born October 1952, Israeli, resident in England) served as interim director (11 November 2024 to 1 March 2026) and PSC of United Properties London Ltd. Moshe Dadoun was previously involved in property litigation — the High Court case Rabbi Moshe Avram Dadoun v Yitzchok Biton involved a dispute over a £130,000 investment in property companies. Moshe Dadoun appears on the Sephardi Voices oral history archive and has connections to the London Sephardi community.

Joel Salem and the 52 Fortune Green Road Prosecution

Joel Salem (born February 1959, of Highview Gardens, Finchley) was Dadoun’s long-standing business partner across the Platinum, Buckingham, and other companies. Salem was also a director of United Properties London Ltd (May 2020 to April 2021) and secretary (April 2020 to April 2021).

In February 2024, Joel Salem (age 65) and Judith Robinson-Dadoun (age 57, of Brampton Grove, Hendon — the same street as the Mainbird Investments / Apartments address) were found guilty and ordered to pay a £350,000 fine plus £247,011.64 in costs by the courts for failure to comply with a planning enforcement notice at 52 Fortune Green Road, Camden. The property had been illegally converted into seven substandard residential flats when planning permission existed only for four units. An enforcement notice was served on 6 October 2010 with compliance required by 18 May 2011, but the defendants ignored repeated warnings for over a decade. The judge found “high culpability” — both defendants were “directly involved in the letting of the property” and had “concealed” their true financial worth from the court. The property was sold on 29 April 2021.

Judith Veronique Robinson-Dadoun (born November 1966) is also director of Spartacus Developments Ltd. The hyphenated surname “Robinson-Dadoun” indicates she is related to the Dadoun family (likely the wife of Michel Dadoun, given that the Mainbird Investments registered address is Flat 3, 69 Brampton Grove and Robinson-Dadoun’s address is given as Brampton Grove, Hendon). Note also that one Companies House officer record for “Michel Dadoun” born November 1966 at 22 Capitol Way may actually be a filing error relating to Robinson-Dadoun.

The Dadoun Family Network

The Dadoun family constitutes a significant network within London’s Sephardi-Moroccan Jewish community in Hendon/Golders Green:

  • Michel Dadoun (b. Feb 1963) — Property developer; chairman of Porat Yosef’s trustees; uncle of Dayan Avraham Dadoun.
  • Judith Veronique Robinson-Dadoun (b. Nov 1966) — Director of Spartacus Developments; convicted in the 52 Fortune Green Road planning case.
  • Rabbi Moshe Dadoun (b. Oct 1952, Israeli) — Interim director and PSC of United Properties London Ltd (Nov 2024–Mar 2026). Previously a minister/rabbi at B Baker Ltd, Greenmill Investments, and C.A.X. Ltd. Involved in property litigation (Dadoun v Biton, £130,000 dispute).
  • Gabriel Shimeon Dadoun (b. Jan 2001) — Current director and 75%+ owner of United Properties London Ltd (from Oct 2025). Very young (age 24) to hold control of a company that partnered on £85m+ developments.
  • Dayan Avraham Yaakov Dadoun — Former Hasmonean High School student; member of the S&P Sephardi Beth Din; Rosh Kollel for Dayanut at Darchei Hora’ah Lerabanim in Jerusalem. Michel Dadoun’s nephew.
  • Oliver Eli Dadoun (b. Oct 1979) — Independent real estate professional associated with Eli Investments. Director of companies including Billingsgate Associates Ltd.

Community Role

Michel Dadoun is chairman of the trustees of Porat Yosef Synagogue, a Sephardi-Moroccan Orthodox congregation located in Bell Lane, Hendon, NW4. Founded in 1988, the community preserves Moroccan Jewish traditions. At a celebration for the appointment of his nephew Dayan Avraham Dadoun to the Sephardi Beth Din, Michel Dadoun said: “Every time we have a visiting rabbi we honour him by asking him to say a few words” and described the appointment of “a local boy” as “a huge honour for our community.” He emphasized the congregation’s commitment to “peace and shalom and ahavat chinam [unconditional love] between communities.”

The Dadoun surname and Moroccan Jewish/Sephardi background suggest the family’s origins are in Morocco or the broader North African Sephardi diaspora. The family is deeply embedded in the Hendon/Golders Green Orthodox Jewish community — the same community in which Mark Shooter operates.
